Matt's first Father's Day started off so nicely, and then...

For Matt's first Father's Day we decided to buck traditional gifts and activities. No brunches or tools for us...we're going shooting. We both did surprisingly well, and I can't tell you how much I want to buy a gun. Who knew we were so secretly violent :)

Lizzy is now one year old. She is offically a big girl. She ate her cake, surprisingly without any mess, and she LOVES all of her new presents. Mommy and Daddy love the presents too because we can now learn new songs :) We are looking forward to her big birthday party on the 4th.

Lizzy has been very busy this week. She met two more of her great-grandparents, she walked alone (with the help of a walker toy thing), and she is turning one on Saturday. She is trying REAL milk and a whole bunch of other things that only big girls can do because as you know she is "so big". :)

Lizzy and I had our first official day off today. We both could not be more excited. First we played at home (putting things in and out of bowls-unbelievable fun). Then we wen to see Great-Grandma Norma. Next, we went to the park and McDonald's with our friends Beth, Evan and Camden. And finally, we went to see Grandma Dianne because we saw her car. What a day!
